SCCM 2016 – Configure DHCP Server with SCCM Boot file Server and Boot File Names
Everyone knows configuring the SCCM is important and OSD will not work if you do not configure certain SCCM components. But what most of System Admins don’t do is configure the boot options for DHCP server. Without this configuration, a computer will never know about the PXE-enabled WDS or SCCM server.
So how you do it, is easy but you have to do it every DHCP server in your organisation or at least all sites which require Operating System Deployment.
To Configure, Connect to DHCP Server.
Go to Required Scope
Right Click on Scope Options and Click Configure Options.
Look for Option 66 & 67.
Options 66, Specify Name or IP Address of Distribution point with PXE-enabled support.
Options 67, specify Boot\x64\wdsnbp.com
Click OK to Finsh.
This completes the DHCP Server configuration for particular site.
You can repeat steps for configuring Boot Image (x86).

My SCCM doesnt’t care the Option 67 and a boot file name. It detects architecture and uses respective boot image from SCCM\boot\…\pxeboot.com
Yes, that is possible if you are building the workstations or servers on the same network as SCCM Server.
