SCCM 2016 – Install System Center Configuration Manager 2016
Here we are, ready to install the SCCM 2016. As we have installed the all required pre-requisites for SCCM 2016.
But before we move on, we will use the SCCM Prerequisites tool. To do so, just launch the Prereqchk tool to check all components are configured correctly.
If you do not run this in start, your will find yourself in situation where you have wasted little bit of time for setup and installing the SCCM and now have to re-run the whole thing again.
To Initiate the PreReqChk
- Open Powershell with elevated privileges
- Execute command: “SourceDrive:\SMSSETUP\BIN\X64\prereqchk.exe /AdminUI”
- It should open new window with the results
This confirms that we have all pre-requites installed to continue.
But it does not check for connection to SQL Server connectivity and admin accounts etc. These will be checked by SCCM installation during the setup process.
If you have followed all the blog parts you should be good to go from here.
Lets Install the SCCM 2016 now.
This completes the Installation of SCCM 2016. Although Installation has been finished and you can now open Configuration Manager Console.
